Marbled Chocolate Fairy Cakes

Light, fluffy chocolate fairy cakes with white chocolate chips swirled through. A simple and fun cupcake recipe perfect for little bakers.

Equipment

Mixing bowl
Wooden spoon
Cupcake tray
6 cupcake cases


Ingredients

55g caster sugar
55g softened butter
1 egg
65g self-raising flour
2 tbsp Greek style yoghurt
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp white chocolate chips


Method

  1. Cream together the sugar and butter until combined.

  2. Add the egg and mix well.

  3. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder and white chocolate chips.

  4. Place cupcake cases into the tray.

  5. Spoon mixture evenly into the cases.

  6. Bake at 180°C for 12 minutes, until the tops feel springy to touch.

  7. Allow to cool before serving.
